I got this for my six-year-old he was afraid to sleep in it because it was too high up and he was afraid he would fall out. So he used it probably five times and then I got rid of it. It was easy to assemble. I went up on top of the bed to hang a poster up there and it was very shaky so it’s definitely not made for an adult weight
