My husband and son purchased this swing for me for Mother’s Day 2022. Our last porch swing lasted several seasons but after about four years needed to be replaced. I loved the color of this one and it had decent reviews so this is the swing we chose. It was not the easiest to assemble and required two people to get the job done, and the fact that the package containing the nuts and bolts had somehow been torn in transit made it difficult to determine which bolt went where. A few times we had to take two steps back in order to assemble the swing properly.At last it was assembled and we were able to enjoy our new porch swing. We found that the cushions are not as thick as my old swing and the Velcro straps that should hold the cushions in place are misaligned so the cushions are always slipping. Then, after only a few short weeks we realized that the red fabric was already fading. I’m posting two photos which show the color of the swing under the cushion and the cushion as it is now, as well as the awning above it. As I said, I received this as a gift for Mother’s Day in May, and by July it was very sun bleached. Within two months this swing looks like it has been sitting in the blazing sun for two years. That is very disappointing.I won’t say that we aren’t enjoying the swing because we are. Every member of our family can be found sitting on it just about every day. But if asked if I would buy this particular swing again, I would have to say no.This has held up well. Assembly was not to hard, just take your time and read the directions. Check the pictures to make sure you get the parts in the right order. I like the way they packed the screws and such. It made it easy to keep up with the parts. The top wants to act like a sail in heavy wings so keep that in mind.I like that it makes into a bed!I was not at home for deliver. The box had been broken and heavily taped. The bolts had been discharged from their Packinging and this made identifying the size and length a problem. Two bolts were missing, properly lost when package was damage. One of the end stands was warped. Because of all the clamps and tools, I have I was able straight it. Would I purchase it again? Not sure it is very comfortable but there is some modification I will have to make. One is some way to keep the top covering from moving even in a small breeze. Do I like yes. (Instruction good if you read carefully.)I had to place tie wrap to keep top cover from swinging down and catching the wind and blowing over. Also the fabric on top must not be up resistant because it is already faded in a few months.It is very sturdy. Had to reassemble as instructions were not clear. Very satisfied when finished.Love it on our back patio!This is so frustrating. Color fading so fast. I bought it assuming it's fade resistant. Very disappointing. The shade on the top is also tearing.
