This 8” thick futon mattress is a Cotton Cloud original, ideally suited for everyday use. Handmade in the USA, the Hawthorne mattress consists of four layers of 100% all-natural cotton batting set between 3 sheets of solid CertiPUR-US luxury foam. This produces the ideal balance of support, comfort and resiliency. Cotton will compress with use, to become firmer and more dense over time. Flipping and rotating is recommended for even compression. All materials are protected by a heavy outer shell that features double-stitched seams. All our futon mattresses are tufted to keep all materials in place. In order to pass flammability tests per Federal Regulations, the cotton we use is treated with a small amount of borax. We can manufacture a mattress without borax, however, that would require a Doctor's note. Message us for more information.
